Buža piccantina from Baiocco is 100% single variety very precious extra virgin olive oil, obtained from the autochthonous olive variety of the Istrian County. The oil is light green and slightly blurry. It has a sweet flavor of fruit, with notes of freshly wedged grass and green apple. Ironically, we called it Buza piccantina because of its unique flavor, sweet and spicy at the same time. This oil is ideal for seasoning white meat, fish, salad, boiled vegetables on steam. Thanks to its characteristics, you can also spice up cakes with some Buza piccantina.
The Baioco oil producing establishment has been working in the sector since 1918. In 1996 it went on to the production and sale of its own products, maintaining the tradition of the area, providing top quality extra virgin olive oil.
In 2003. In order to improve the quality of the olive oil, it introduced machinery of the latest technology from a Tuscan manufacturer (Officine Meccaniche Toscane). The SUPERDECANTER EURO X 15 D.E. is the only centrifugal extractor on the market which allows production of olive oil without using vertical final separators.
With this background of experience, tradition and total awarness of the latest technology in the oil production sector, all of the Đurić family were invited to Australia where Andrej, the head of the family, goes during the harvesting season to instruct workers and staff of an olive oil plant to guide them in the field.
